macOS install guide

Grant Screen Recording on macOS.

If Nexpot opens the Screen & System Audio Recording settings but the app is missing from the list, follow these steps once and macOS should accept the permission normally.

When to use this

Nexpot is not in the permission list.

This guide is for the specific case where Nexpot opens the correct macOS settings pane, but the app is still missing from Screen & System Audio Recording and needs to be added manually.

After it works

Your shortcuts stay simple.

Speak to NexpotControl + Option
Open the menuCommand + Option + Shift
  1. Step 01

Start from the Nexpot permission prompt.

On some Macs, granting Screen & System Audio Recording takes one extra manual step. First press Allow in Nexpot so macOS opens the correct part of System Settings.

  2. Step 02

Add Nexpot manually if it is missing.

If you do not see Nexpot in Screen & System Audio Recording, use the + button shown in System Settings to add it manually.

  3. Step 03

    Pick Nexpot from Applications.

After pressing +, open Applications, find Nexpot, select it, and press Open. That adds the app to the permission list.

  4. Step 04

    Accept the restart prompt.

macOS may ask to restart Nexpot before Screen Recording fully applies. Press Quit & Reopen. If it does not reopen automatically within a few seconds, launch it again manually from Applications.

  5. Step 05

Reopen Nexpot and verify that it works.

After Nexpot opens again, you should see it in the list and the permission should work normally.

Then the main shortcuts are ready to use immediately:

    Start talkingControl + Option
Open the menuCommand + Option + Shift
